Boating is an easy water sport to get into, but city dwellers often don’t have room for kayaks in their apartments. Camping and cooking deals
I have nothing more to say about this convertible sleeping bag/jacket except that you definitely need it. My kids and I each have our own, and we all hang around the campsite like worms, much to my dismay. It’s Slanket Camp. You will wear it. All of. The. Time.
Although the Solo Pi Kitchen (8/10, Recommend with WIRED) recently replaced Ooni Karu in my affections, which is still a pretty cool thing on one of the Our favorite pizza oven. This is smaller than the one I tested and doesn’t include the gas attachment, but you can buy that separately for the money you save.
MSR makes some of the best backpacking gear; My own backpack kitchen is a much older MSR Whisperlite. This all-in-one system conveniently packs into itself and the pot is screwed onto the burner. It’s both a great backpack stove and an additional boiler set if the two of you camp kitchen Burner occupied with pancakes and eggs.
I bought this according to the recommendation by WIRED reviewer Scott Gilbertson. Not only did I pack it for our Memorial Day camping trip, but I also use it several times a day.
As we found in our testing for The best tent, REI’s Tent offers incredible value for money. I have been using my REI tent for a decade. It’s really hard to find another backpacking tent with these specs at this ridiculous price, including a dragonfly, footprints, lines, and bag.
If you have a larger tent, I would only buy this air mattress because I’m tired of both my kids and my dog pushing me off the mattress when they try to snuggle up at night.
