5 tips on how to reduce and manage your stress

Hey girls, how are you? So I wanted to jump in quickly and share 5 Tips on How to Reduce & Manage Your Stress. You know, I don’t want to say the word distress or anything like that, but I face it, and I’m managing my anxiety and my depression. Some days are better than others and I would say for sure in these times especially what we are dealing with. I am very open about seeing my therapist. I don’t mind talking about it. A lot of people have been very receptive and actually expressed in the comments how they used to go to a therapist or see a therapist.

Before I found my Therapist, my employer and most others had EAP. The EAP will give you about two or three initial visits just to get to know someone. Then your insurance will definitely take effect if all goes well. I want to share some with you without the need for a therapist or any form of support. There are a few things you can do yourself that can help relieve your stress. I will share with you some things that I didn’t know and which my therapist shared with me. So I’m giving you some merchandise.

Tip #1: Keep a diary

Journal. Now you know, I talk about how many magazines I have, and if I mess up in a journal, I don’t want to write that journal. I am a paper monster. Journaling is really good. it helps you. When I first started Journaling, I didn’t like it. Now I don’t journal as much as I should. You don’t have to fill out the page, you can write a line or two, or whatever hits you right then and there. Be kind to yourself when journaling. You can write a few words in the morning or evening. There are no rules for this. The goal is to free everything from your mind, body, and soul.

Tip #2: Meditate

Think. Now I struggle with meditation. I daydream a lot and it’s not a form of meditation. I need to ask my therapist about it, but sometimes I can really zone it out. People might be talking to me and I’m somewhere else deep in thought, thinking about what’s on my mind. Meditation is becoming one with yourself and free from busy thoughts.

Tip #3: Get Hobbies

Have one interests. I have been on Youtube for a long time. When I enter YouTube, I don’t have any problems that I have now. I just love being on YouTube, but I really came to see and understand how this hobby/business has helped me in so many ways. I have met some wonderful women. I have talked to so many wonderful women. I went to dinner with some wonderful women, especially here in North Carolina. I would definitely say that this whole process has helped me, especially in 2020.

Tip #4: Mindfulness

Attention. I learned this practice in my therapy session, staying focused on the present, forgetting the past. Understand why it is in the past. Now I understand that the past does not affect my future. I’m used to holding on to the past. Be present and grateful at the same time. Stay in the present.

Tip #5: Declare your life

Declutter. You know I’m all about this whole thing. Separation can include your house, car, life, etc. The goal is to clear out all areas that can or will bring you stress. I recently deactivated my Instagram and I can do it again.

I’m currently listing my home, room by room, and it seems like a never-ending project. However, I am seeing things going and being at peace around me. You will be surprised at how stressful a messy home can be.

In short, focus on what you can control and not what you can’t control. You control yourself, set boundaries and live your life. We are all in control of our own space, so we just have to do it and be mindful of how we do it.
