6 great WhatsApp features coming in 2021
WhatsApp is quite regular in updating and introducing new features in the application. In 2020, WhatsApp brings the ability to enable dark mode, send disappearing messages, use advanced search mode, join group calls and more. This year, the company has also released a lot of cool features, so if you missed keeping up with the new updates, here’s a quick recap of all the nifty features that were released this year. 2021.
Calling on PC
Now you can attend WhatsApp voice and video calls directly on your laptop without having to take it to your phone. You just need to install WhatsApp for Windows or Mac on your PC and sign in to your account to get started.
Send and receive money
even though WhatsApp Payments Introduced in 2020, it has been made widely available to both Android and iOS users in India this year. It allows users to send and receive money based on the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) system.
Using the Multi-Device feature
This year, we also have the much-awaited multi-device feature in WhatsApp. That allows you to use WhatsApp on your laptop, PC or tablet at the same time, without connecting your phone to the Internet. This makes it really easy to use WhatsApp on multiple devices.
Mute video before sharing
You can mute video before sharing them in WhatsApp chats. If you often record videos and send them on WhatsApp with bad background noise, then this feature can be really helpful for you.
Transfer chats from iPhone to Android
Another useful feature that WhatsApp released this year is the ability to transfer chats from iPhone to Android. You can find the new one move chats to android in the Settings menu. This will make it easier for you to move your chats, but you’ll need a USB-C to Lightning cable to complete the transfer.
Another cool WhatsApp feature launching this year is Watch once. It allows you to send photos and videos in chats that the recipient can only view once. All you need to do is tap the new ‘1’ icon before sending the media file and it will automatically disappear once opened.
