The Ranger’s claimed fuel economy figures have been uploaded to the Green Vehicle Guide (GVG) website, run by the Australian Government.
The website details all the different fuel economy and emissions figures for each 2022 Ford Ranger set up the powertrain. This includes the 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo petrol engine on the Raptor.
These Australian-market fuel economy numbers for the new Ranger follow preliminary data was revealed in May. It’s worth noting that these numbers are according to the NEDC test, which is generally more lenient.

All fuel economy figures published on the GVG website are according to ADR testing and have been performed under controlled laboratory conditions.
The website states that “your on-road fuel consumption and emissions will depend on the circumstances in which you operate your vehicle”.

Most Ranger variants require a diesel engine besides the baja-ready Ranger Raptor requires a minimum of 95 RON premium unleaded petrol.
As detailed earlier, all powertrains of the Ford Ranger 2022 meet Euro 5 emissions standards.
No-load start is available on the 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo petrol and 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo petrol engines.
It should be noted that some vehicles in the fleet with the 2.0 liter Bi-Turbo diesel engine will have an idling stop feature fitted to meet customer requirements.
