How to make fried pickles in an air fryer
Service: 4
Time in the kitchen: 20 minutes
Element
- 1 cup sliced pickles (see Tip below)
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- 2 tablespoons tapioca starch
- 3/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
- Avocado oil spray

Direction
In a small bowl, mix the tapioca flour and seasoning. Add half of this mixture with the almond flour in another bowl. In the third bowl or plate, beat the eggs together.
Dry the pickles on a towel to remove excess moisture. Spray avocado oil in your air fryer basket.
Add the pickles to the tapioca starch mixture. Use a fork to dip each pickle slice in the beaten egg one at a time, then grate the pickle slices into the almond flour mixture. Place the breaded pickles in the basket.
Repeat with the remaining pickles. Lightly spray avocado oil on top of pickles.
Place the basket in an air fryer set at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for about 10 minutes or until the outside is golden brown. If necessary, air-fry for another 1 to 2 minutes to achieve a nice golden brown outside. Let them cool a bit before taking them out into the basket.
Serve with your favorite Primal Kitchen dips and condiments!
Advice
- Every air fryer is different and therefore cooks slightly differently. Refer to your user manual for more details.
