Via Charles Brun: Kell Brook had a REAL chip on his shoulder about being ignored by Amir Khan for the last time 10 years or more when trying to fight him, and now think he’s totally amused that he’s going to win their February 19 fight.
According to Khan, the 35-year-old Brook is below him in the talent department and he hopes to put him in his place by proving it when they meet.
Brook can still punch, but his shooting ability seems like it has abandoned him completely, with him being easily knocked out in his final bout against the WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford in November 2020.
Crawford hit Brook with a soft right hook causing him to swing to his boot, then lunge at him, resulting in Kell showing his back. That left the referee with no choice but to stop the contest to save Brook from being raped by Crawford.
Khan (34-5, 21 KOs) has finally agreed to face the needy Brook (39-3, 27 KOs) after years of being called by Sheffield natives, and the two will fight on Sky Box Office PPV in two matches months from now at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England.

What’s crazy is that both Khan and Brook were expecting their fight to yield multiple PPV purchases on Sky Box Office. Yes, the match sold out in 10 minutes for their clash at Manchester Arena, but there was a difference between selling off an arena versus bringing in a million PPV purchases on Sky Box Office.
Khan hasn’t fought in nearly three years, since his win over lightweight Billy Dib in July 2019 and his last major win over his eponymous opponent was six years ago when he beat Chris Algeria in 2015.
Things started to take a turn for the worse for Khan in 2011 when he lost to Lamont Peterson and Danny Garcia in head-to-head matches. You can’t blame those losses for why Khan’s career fell apart. I mean, his career is going to go downhill anyway when he starts to better resist opposition.
Khan might have been knocked out by Marcos Maidana in 2010 if it weren’t for referee Joe Cortez repeatedly pulling the Argentinian out of Amir after he injured him in the 10th half. It was a strange match. watch as it looks like Maidana is fighting two people inside the ring, Khan and referee Cortez.
Khan’s Brook said: “It’s easy to say a big game. “Let’s see what happens. I’ll knock you down and look over and go, ‘I told you so.’ You are crazy.
“I know you know who I am. I can’t wait to spark you. I will retire for you. I’m glad this fight is over,” Brook said.
Just as bad as Brook lost to Crawford, you can’t rule out a knockout win for Khan if he lands one of the big hits on him. It will be very difficult for Brook to reach the weight limit, and he will probably lose weight.
