Amplify Horse Racing Announces Saratoga Programming

Amplify Horse Racing, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to promoting education and careers in the Thoroughbred industry, has announced the opening of registrations for behind-the-scenes educational tours at Saratoga Racecourse for for youth and youth, along with additional programming throughout August in Saratoga Springs, NY.

On Monday, August 1 from 5:30-7:30 p.m., community members, racing fans and industry personnel are invited to the National Museum of Racing and the Hall of Fame to attended “Amplify the Future of Racing,” a presentation on education, workforce and international opportunities in the Thoroughbred industry, organized by Amplify Horse Racing and Together for Racing International. In addition to creating awareness of new and existing programs, the presentation will highlight the real-life experiences of individuals who have been impacted by some of these initiatives. This event is free and open to the public.

Amplify will be hosting full-day behind-the-scenes educational tours for youth and young adults aged 15-25 from Wednesday, August 10; Friday, August 12; Wednesday, August 17; and Friday, August 19. Now in their third year, the “Saratoga Experience” tours with Amplify Horse Racing give attendees the chance to learn about the typical day of racehorses, along with the professions and organizations that make the race possible. Participants will talk to countless racing professionals throughout the day while following morning training, touring the Hall of Fame and attending races of the day.

For the second year in a row, Amplify will partner with the Cornell Cooperative Expansion service to provide tours of their youth programs, including the Advanced Horses group and Dynamic Ambassadors. object. Each year, 4-H youth from across the state apply to be selected for the Advanced Dark Horse program. Once selected, students complete assignments and learn valuable leadership skills. Animal Ambassadors is a free program for Saratoga County 4-H members to apply and be accepted. Its goal is to connect youth with the animal industries and provide opportunities to develop leadership skills.

On Sunday, August 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Amplify Horse Racing will be at the Saratoga County Equestrian Tournament hosted by CCE Equine, an adult education program in the Metropolitan Region. This self-driving tour event is open to the public and will include a list of participating farms throughout Saratoga County.
