Anyway, apple cider vinegar is a STAR STYLE for your home because of all the benefits it brings to the body. Both inside and out. In addition to the benefits for weight loss and detoxification, we are also talking about benefits for hair, skin and nails. It even has benefits when it comes to house cleaning. I mean, what if you don’t love?
To know more about all the benefits of apple cider vinegar, follow this post. But, be persistent. Because today, we’re going to focus on hair. And more specifically, the apple cider vinegar hair conditioner can take away your gray locks and turn them into glamorous, salon-like-looking hair. We are here for it.
Benefits of washing your hair with apple cider vinegar include:

Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Conditioner
But first, let’s talk about What is apple cider vinegar?. It’s basically a cooking ingredient made from Acetic Acid & fermented apple juice is used in salad dressings, soups and even hot drinks. However, as you can see, it also sounds like a badass beauty attack.
It is made by cutting/crushing apples, soaking them in water and letting them ferment. That means – yes, you can absolutely make your own apple cider vinegar right at home. However, you can also just buy it from most local grocery stores or Amazonof course.
And, want to know the best part? This miracle liquid is CHEAP. Like cheap $5 bucks. And just because it’s cheap doesn’t mean it doesn’t work as well as other more expensive products. Just believe us when we say, it works and it works GOOD.
This apple cider vinegar hair wash requires only 4 simple ingredients. However, as you’ll see later when we talk about how to use it for specific hair types, there are plenty of other ingredients that you can feel free to add based on your specific needs.
Here’s what you need:
Aerosol – to mix
Raw Apple Cider Vinegar – 100% natural/unpasteurized/unfiltered version (NOT the processed, preservative-filled variety. No, no thanks.)
Water – for dilution, of course.
Lavender oil – to stimulate healthy hair growth.
Aloe vera gel – strengthens, soothes and protects hair.
Guide:
- Wash and condition your hair so that it is ready to absorb all the good qualities of apple cider vinegar.
- Take a spray bottle and add (3-5) tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. Then, add (2-3) drops of lavender essential oil and (1) tablespoon of aloe vera gel.
- Pour water into the rest of the bottle and shake well.
- Spray the entire length of your hair with conditioner, paying special attention to the scalp and ends.
- Let the conditioner soak for 2-5 minutes, depending on the hair type. Wash well, use your favorite after-shower hair care products and repeat once a week.
How to use Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Conditioner
For regular hair care:
For regular hair and scalp maintenance, use exactly as described in the instructions & repeat once a week. If you notice your scalp is dry or irritated, you can reduce the time it takes for the conditioner to soak into your skin. or you can reduce the frequency to once a week.
Also, if you feel no results, make sure you let the conditioner soak for 5 minutes. Please add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar or increase frequency to twice a week.

For short hair:
For my short haired girls, you won’t need to wash your hair with apple cider vinegar as much. And, you don’t want to overdo it. If your hair is shoulder length, cut the ingredients in half, but still dilute with plenty of water.
For dry hair:
If you’re having trouble with dry hair, try adding some apple cider vinegar and a little lavender essential oil and Aloe vera gel. You can also feel free to add a few drops of other essential oils that are known to improve hair quality. These include tea tree, sandalwood, rosemary, thyme and Clary Sage.

For scalp and oily hair problems like dandruff:
When it comes to oily hair and dry scalp problems like dandruff or peeling, you’ll want to increase the apple cider vinegar content. Add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, but leave all other ingredients intact.
This will reduce the amount of product oil build-up in your hair (dry shampoo, hairspray, excess hair oil) & better exfoliate your scalp. And in turn, dramatically improve the look of your hair. Say goodbye to itchy and flaky skin – those days are a thing of the past.
For color treated hair:
If you have color treated hair, no problem. You can still use this apple cider vinegar face wash without worrying about your new color. In fact, this treatment is great for color-treated hair – whether it’s box dye or professional dye. It can improve shine, gloss and durability and revive that color.
There is also no need to adjust the formula here. Just use according to the instructions. BUT, feel free to add a few drops coconut oil, argon oil, sesame oil, or almond oil. These oils are great for color-treated hair and work wonders in restoring your hair’s natural shine.
An additional option:
If you don’t like washing your hair, but still want to incorporate apple cider vinegar into your shampooing routine, you can consider another option. Instead of washing your hair, feel free to add a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to your shampoo and conditioner.
For best results, be sure to leave the shampoo and conditioner on for a few minutes before rinsing your hair.
