Atlantic’s Julie Greenwald and Craig Kallman to receive 2023 Salute To Industry Icons Honor at Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Gala
President and CEO of Atlantic Music Corporation Julie Greenwald and Atlantic record President and CEO Craig Kallman were honored as honorees at the 2023 Grammy Awards Welcome Industry Icons.
Greenwald and Kallman will be honored by The Recording Academy and Clive Davis at the Pre-Grammy Gala on Saturday, February 4, 2023.
The event comes ahead of the 65th Annual Grammy Awards, which will return for the first time since 2020.
Atlantic Records celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2023.
The Newly formed group Atlanticincluding the Atlantic Ocean and 300 electromagnetism label families, have earned nearly 40 Grammy nominations this year.
Today, the Atlantic lineup includes superstars like Bruno Mars, Burna Boy, Cardi B, Kelly Clarkson, Coldplay, Jack Harlow, Lil Uzi Vert, Lizzo, Janelle Monáe, Paramore, Charlie Puth, Roddy Ricch, Ed Sheeran, and dozens of others.
Atlantic has also enjoyed success in both the recording and soundtracks of its Broadway cast, including chart-topping successes such as the Grammy Awards. Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansenand Greatest Performeras well as the Fast & Furious series.
Greenwald and Kallman first collaborated in 2004, when Greenwald moved to Atlantic from her leadership position at Island Def Jam.
During the early years of their collaboration, the duo enhanced the careers of many best-selling artists, including James Blunt, Death Cab for Cutie, Flo Rida, Gnarls Barkley, Kid Rock, Lupe Fiasco, Jason Mraz, Sean Paul , Shinedown, Staind, Rob Thomas, TI, Trey Songz, Zac Brown Band, and many others.
In 2010, just six years after their joint tenure, Rolling Stone wrote that Greenwald and Kallman have “retooled Atlantic as a model for how a major label can thrive in the 21st century… betting that the artist’s long-term growth will pay off. “

For the past decade, the invite-only Pre-Grammy Gala has included a presentation honoring industry luminaries through the Recording Academy’s Grammy Salute To Industry Icons award.
