Bakhodir Jalov scores a Knockout goal against Jack Mulowayi in the 8th round!


Via Ken Hissner: At the Turning Stone Resort & Casino, Verona, New York, Friday via Showbox, New Generation and Lou DiBella (DiBella Entertainment) featured in the Main Event, undefeated 2016 Olympic gold medalist, class gold medalist Heavyweight Bakhodir Jalolov of Uzbekistan and Brooklyn, New York knocked out Jack Mulowayi of Dem Rep of Congo and Antwerpen, Belgium, in eight rounds.

In the 6:07 South Main Event” Bakhodir Jalolov, 11-0 (11), #251, of Sariosiyo, UZB and Brooklyn, NY, knocks out Jack Mulowayi, 11-3-1 (7), #242, of Dem Rep of the Congo and Antwerpen, BELG, at 1:20 of the 1/8 and final round.

In the third round, Jalolov with a 90-14 record in the amateurs, was the big favorite. A left from Jalolov landed a left cross on the chin sending Mulowayi back a few steps. In the fourth round, referee Benjy Esteves, Jr. withdrew a point from Jalolov for hitting Mulowayi behind the head.

In the final seconds of the sixth inning, a left from Jalolov, followed by a short right missed Mulowayi, receiving an eight from referee Esteves when the bell rang. In the eighth round, Jalolov landed two hits on the chin, sending Mulowayi into the canvas and out without being counted by referee Esteves.

In the heavyweight bronze, George “Gentleman” Arias, 18-0 (7), #219 ½, of San Francisco de Marcoris, DR and the Bronx, NY, beat Alante Green, 10-1-1 (7), #223, of Cleveland, OH, over eight lackluster innings.

In the third round, good action with Garcia forced Green higher down the line at the last minute. Between rounds, Arias was given a small white pill by the coach. From seasons four to six, Arias outplayed Green for the most part in a lackluster fight up to that point.

In the seventh round, Arias made Green’s body do another round. In the eighth and final round, Green turned south, facing the oncoming Arias having his best round return to the mainstream at the last minute. The referee is Charlie Fitch. Scores are 78-74 Arias, 77-75 Green and 77-75 Arias, with this writer at 78-74 Arias.

Lightweight Tyler “Short Fuse” Tomlin, 13-1 (9), #134, of Ashland City, TN, was stopped by Chann Thonson, 11-0 (8), #132½, of Brossard, Quebec, CAN, at 1:01 of the fifth of the eight scheduled rounds.

In the third inning, Thonson hit Tomlin with a left blow to the chin followed by a combo to Tomlin’s chin that gave him a hard time, but he made it through the round.

In the fourth inning, Tomlin bounced back well, as Thonson in the corner landed a flurry of punches. In the fifth round, a hard punch from Thonson cut Tomlin’s right eye, causing a torrent of blood. Seconds later, a blow to Thonson’s right chin injured Tomlin so much that referee Mark Nelson had to call the ring doctor, who ordered the fight to be halted.
