Bhagyashree tells us why including zinc in our diet is important


For some people, food is just a means to satisfy hunger and urges. However, actress Bhagyashree is not one of them. For her, food is an important source of nutrition. Eating the right foods is not only important to gain or lose weight but also to maintain a healthy nutritional balance in our bodies. Bhagyashree recently shared a video about the importance of zinc in our diet. She emphasizes zinc’s role in strengthening the immune system. She said, “For non-vegetarians, it’s very easy because they can have meat, fish, eggs. Vegetarians will have to choose from kale, peas, garlic, dairy products like milk, yogurt, cheese.”

Legumes also contain zinc. But this is why Bhagyashree does not recommend it as a major source of minerals. “Leans contain zinc, but it’s not easily absorbed by the body,” she says, “Make sure that in your diet you’re not just thinking about carbs, protein, and fat. Essential nutrients are just as important.”
