Airtel and Dish TV did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Reuters.
The report said Airtel executives discussed the deal with Dish TV parent company Essel Group founder Subhash Chandra.
The accounting firm EY, which Airtel hired to examine Dish TV’s finances, filed its due diligence report with the telecom company on Oct. 25, the Mint said.
