In the co-main event, WBC international silverware champion Mirko “Terminator” Natalizi stopped Wales Tony “The Welsh Terrier” Dixon after five rounds.
In the Main Event, Olympian Guido “The Gladiator” Vianello, 10-0-1 (9), of Roma, Lazio, IT and Las Vegas, NV, defeated Jay “The Ghost” McFarlane, 13-7 (5) , of Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom, over 8 rounds.
In the second round, Vianello continued to teach McFarlane boxing. Twice referee Francisco Ramacciotti warned McFarlane for heading. In the third round, McFarlane injured his right hand. In the fifth inning, Vianello landed right on McFarlane’s left eye causing him to shake his head.
In the sixth round, McFarlane continued to closely follow Vianello around the ring, unleashing wild leverage, rarely landing, while Vianello counterattacked well. In the seventh inning, with one minute left, a right from Vianello on the chin prevented McFarlane from following.
A minute into the eighth and final inning, Vianello landed on the right, followed by a left hook to the persistent McFarlane chin. For the rest of the round, Vianello continued to use his arm and leg speed to win every round against player McFarlane to the delight of the home crowd.
The scores are 80-72 and 79-73, respectively, with this writer at 80-72.
During the co-main event, WBC Int’l Silver Super Welter champion Mirko “The Terminator” Natalizi, 13-0 (8), of Roma, Lazio, IT, stopped Tony “The Welsh Terrier” Dixon, 13-4 (4) , of Mountain Ash, Wales, UK, after 5 rounds of 10.
In the second round, Natalizi defeated Dixon. After the fifth inning, Dixon could not play in the sixth inning.
Stephanie Silva, 7-0 (0), of Roma, Lazio, IT, beat Ewelina Pekalska, 6-1 (0), of Poznan, POL, for the vacant EBU Euro Super Fly title, 10×2 round.
The scores are 97-93 and 98-92, respectively.
Francesco Russo, 12-2 (10), of Roma, Lazio, IT, stopped Francesco Sarchioto, 15-2 (5), #of Anzio, Lazio, IT, for the Italian Super Welter title, at 2:08 of the 8/10 match.
In the first inning, Sarchioto controlled with a stab that sent Russo spinning wild in defense for most of the time. At the end of the half, both punched because the referee was too absorbed in looking at the timekeeper.
In the second round, Russo took the blood from Sarchioto’s nose with an overhand punch. Good for Russo.
In the third round, it was all about Russo supporting Sarchioto against the ropes most of the time and kicking him with a punch to the chin just before the bell rang. In the 1/8 round, Russo eliminated Sarchioto. The referee canceled the fight.
In an opening rematch, the first win by majority was decided by Super Light Armando “La Furia del Quadraro” Casamonica, 8-0 (1), of Roma, Lazio, IT, beating southpaw Mauro Loli, 7 -5 (3), of Roma, Lazio, IT, over 6 rounds.
In the second round, southpaw Loli received a small cut under her right eye. Casamonica, fighting southpaw and returning to his normal orthodoxy, played well in the first two innings against higher Loli. In the third and fourth innings, Loli picked up the pace for better action sequences.
In the fifth round Casamonica invaders, had an advantage. In the sixth and final round, the two fight as if the decision depends on it, and it can be a close fight. Casamonica could have won again in this rematch.
