In the Main Event IBF Women’s Minor Champion Yokasta Valle, 26-2 (9), #104, of NIC & San Jose, Costa Rica defeated WBO Women’s Minor Champion Thi Thu Nhi Nguyen, 5-0 (1), #104, of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on 10 × 2 laps.
In the first round it went back and forth. In the second half, Valle out defeated Nguyen almost with a score of 3-1. In the fourth round, Valle overwhelmed Nguyen. From the fifth to the eighth round, Valle continued to dominate a Nguyen game.
In the ninth round, this is the most intense round. In the tenth and final round, both fighters gave up although it was still Valle Nguyen’s round that ended it stronger.
The score is 100-90, 98-92 and 99-91 with this 98-92 writer.
In the WBC Silver Super Fly final, champion Adelaida “La Cobra” Ruiz, 12-0 (6), #115, of Lynnewood, CA, beat Sonia Osorio, 15-8-2 (4), #114. of Mexico City, MEX, over 10×2 laps for the WBC Interim World Super Fly title.
In the first two innings belonged to the higher Ruiz although a champion was introduced first. She pushed the fight while Osorio did well for the most part. In the fourth round, Osorio was interesting although not enough to make it to the next round. After the round, the score was announced. Not a good idea.
In the sixth inning, Ruiz began to experience swelling under his left eye despite taking a big lead in the match. In the 1/8 round, Ruiz continued to beat Osorio. Again the score was announced at the end of the round. In the tenth and final round, both fighters unleashed punches as the round ended in the best round.

Super Feather Ofacio “The Sniper” Falcon, 8-0 (6), #130, Bronx, NY, won the deciding match against Jose “Pacman” Manuel Perez, 10-6 (8), #129 ¼ , of NIC and San Jose, CR, over 6 rounds.
In the second round, Perez gave Falcon a tough time on the ropes with a series of mid-half punches. In the fourth round, Falcon counterattacked well against the always-appearing Perez.
In the fifth inning, Perez overtook Falcon. In the sixth and final round, Falcon moved around the ring with an effective jab while Perez unleashed a combination.
The scores are 58-56 for Falcon and 58-56 Perez for this writer, 57-57 respectively.

Super Light Jose “Superman” Manuel Garcia, 16-1-1 (14), #140 ½, of Mexico City, MEX, blocked southern Israel “El Destructor” Lopez, 9-3 (7), #141, of Tipitapa, NIC, at 2:06 of the second of the eight scheduled rounds for the vacant WBO World Youth title.
Garcia entered the ring wearing glasses nicknamed “Superman” that looked more like Clark Kent. In the first round, Garcia coached by former world champion Antonio Marco Barrera played with a good body strike.
In the second round, in the first minute, Garcia dropped a punch into Lopez’s body. At the last minute, a left from Garcia’s chin knocked Lopez in a good exchange of both boxers. Seconds after this knockdown, Garcia was furious when he pitted Lopez against the ropes as the fight halted.
I don’t understand how a 23-year-old from Garcia qualifies for the title of “young man”.
Welter Kyle Irwin, 5-1 (2), #142 ½, of Oceanside, CA, stopped by Lorenzo Garro, 4-0 (2), #142 ½, of Escazu, CR, at 1:40 in innings two of the 4 rounds expected due to cuts.
In the first inning, Irwin gave Garro the size of a golf ball under his left eye a very good hit on the ropes without going back near referee David Garcia. from Garro, which caused a pause when the ring doctor walked in and waved it off while Irwin wanted to continue.
Lightweight Keling Fonseca, 4-5 (2), #136, of Managua, NIC and CR, won by majority decision against Jose “Karma” Alvarado, 9-1 (5), #135¾, of Ensenada, Baja California, MEX, over 6 rounds.
During the first two innings, Fonseca switched from mainstream to nampaw complaining about headbutts as he and Alvarado worked well together. In the third round, Alvarado got one point deducted for heading.
In the fourth round, Fonseca was slashed in the right eyebrow and had a nosebleed. In the fifth round, the action chosen with Alvarado goes from orthodox to powerful nampaw to go round. In the sixth and final round, Alvarado prepared for most of his body with Fonseca delivering his final punch to the chin.
The scores were 56-56 and 57-56 for Fonseca, respectively. This writer had it 57-56 Alvarado. Deducting points made all the difference.
