But a source close to Spears told CNN that the singer has no immediate plans to do an interview with Winfrey, despite recently stating on social media that she wants to.
The source said: “Britney hasn’t done an interview with Oprah and she hasn’t even entered discussions to do one. “Will it happen? Maybe, but not now.”
As for whether the two could meet this year, the source said an interview that, if it does, probably won’t take place until 2022.
The Grammy Award-winner posted on social media last week that she has much to say about her 13-year conservatorship as it comes to an end. She hinted at a possible interview with Winfrey.
