Brown, Davis win end of year coaching/riding title
Four-time Eclipse Award-winning coach Chad Brown earned his eighth consecutive year-end coaching title on the New York Racing Association, Inc. circuit. (NYRA) with 159 wins from 587 starts, good with a 27.09 win percentage with a money margin of 59.28 percent over 196 race days. The Mechanicville, NY native has enjoyed his best season on the track to date, surpassing his previous personal record of 154 set in 2018.
“It means a lot and I’m so proud of my team,” Brown said. “They’ve worked hard year-to-date. They’re an excellent team of both men and women with a wide variety of skills that they bring to our team. We have a ton of clients and loyal partners, and of course the horses A lot of different horses in many categories have really appeared for us, so we feel very fortunate to have worked with the horses. this.”

“We have a very diverse group of horses and my team has shown that they can perform equally well with grass or ground horses,” says Brown. “We won with sprinters, grass horses, men and women. They showed flexibility and there weren’t too many teams that could continue. [perform at this level] with any kind of horse.”
Brown’s 159 wins have won four titles in this year’s NYRA meet, taking home top honors at the spring Aqueduct, the Belmont spring/summer meet [where he posted a record 47 victories]Saratoga summer meet and Belmont fall meet at Big A. He completed the year with a total of $17,900,030 in pocket earnings.
“Winning against Saratoga was a highlight because my team put in a lot of effort,” Brown said. “It meant a lot to them. We had some wins in Grade 1, and after that, there were a lot of memorable moments. Jack Christopher; beat Diana again and set a record in there; Just a Game. There were so many great moments at NYRA.”
Brown, a year-round breeder at the NYRA and one of the last trainers to leave Saratoga’s Oklahoma training track each fall, praised the amenities available to him and his team at each facility. of the NYRA.

Hall of Fame coach Todd Pletcher finished second with a record of 495-110-74-74 while Linda Rice finished third with a record of 479-83-87-75.
Top owner of the year, Seth Klarman’s Klaravich Stables, claimed the year-end title for the fourth straight year with 57 wins, hitting a record 228-57-47-29 for a total of $6,148,551 . Klaravich has a win rate of 25% with a return rate of 58.33%.

Brown praised Klarman’s dedication to his horses both on and off the track.
Brown said: “He’s very deserving of this title again. “He was so caring and a great partner that helped me manage the stables. He was a great sports lover, and most of all, he put his horses first. We weren’t just win many great races together he has always made it clear that our first priority is to put the horses first, not just to rest our current horses and doesn’t push them, but puts some horses in a second job throughout the year. That’s always been a priority for him.”
Michael Dubb finished second on the leaderboard with a record of 225-50-34-25. Repole Stable finished third with a record of 170-35-21-24.
Equestrian Dylan Davis celebrated his first year-end equestrian title on the NYRA circuit in a year in which he guided 186 horses to victory. Davis, 28, won the equestrian title in the first encounter at the 2021-22 Aqueduct winter meet and has had his best year on track to date, hitting a record 1160-186-171 -180.
“It feels great,” Davis said. “I am so grateful and honored and could not have done it without my horse, coach, owner, agent Mike [Migliore]. We worked hard and stuck with the NYRA circuit. Things are coming together and we’re going to go ahead and try for a better year next year.”
