Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Season 2 will start next week
Part 2 of Call of Duty: Vanguard and a new Warzone iteration is just around the corner. Announced today with a gripping cinematic trailer and a detailed blog post, the new season for COD starts on February 14th, and the changes involve every part of multiplayer. Even Zombies.
As in the trailer featuring Fireteam Yeti, the big new additions to Warzone are armored vehicles like the deadly tank and the equally deadly Nebula V, a poison gas that has a few deployments in the game. game. The first is through the Nebula V ammunition, a new type of ammunition that can be used for small arms weapons. It doesn’t deal any more damage than its stockpiles, but releases poison into the air when the target dies. Anyone who finds themselves in the cloud will be affected by effects similar to those outside of Battle Royale’s fall circle. Visibility will narrow and affected players will take damage over time.
Like in the trailer, Nebula V also has a bomb form. The player can obtain a very rare briefcase containing explosives with an explosive sequence that can be activated upon placing. The bomb cannot be disarmed or disarmed once it is set to blow, so use it wisely and get out of the Dodge safely. The Portable Decontamination Device is a newly added Field Device that can disperse areas of Nebula V gas and neutralize its effects.
Other new additions include armored transport trucks, chemical plants, underground chemical research labs, bombers, and redeployed hot air balloons that let you soar through the air and jump though to a nearby point on the island. Pretty handy!
Vanguard multiplayer will see the launch of two new maps: Casablanca and Gondola, both medium-sized three-lane levels. With that, a new killstreak and new perks are being introduced, and sometime during the season will see the launch of the new Arms Race Mode and the introduction of vehicles in the Vanguard multiplayer.
Zombies is having a new experience called Terra Maledicta, which introduces the Egyptian desert setting. The COD blog also states, “Gateways to new arenas will open, including the Dark Aether in a brand new location for Vanguard Zombies.” Lots of new Zombies changes including a new Healing Aura that starts out as a basic method of healing for the team and can be ranked to eventually revive your entire team when in a pinch.
It looks like there’s a lot ahead for Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone fans to watch starting next week. The update will go live on Valentine’s Day on all available Vanguard and Warzone COD platforms.
