Carl Froch wants Anthony Joshua to be “RUTHLESS” to reclaim his No. 1 spot in heavyweight Boxing News 24
Via Scott Gilfoid: Carl Froch thinks all Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) has to do to reclaim his throne as the planet’s No. 1 heavyweight contender is fight the same “Cruel” and “Explode” style that he had earlier in his career in his prime.
After being conspicuously defeated by underdog Oleksandr Usyk last September, Joshua’s career is on the verge of collapse and he doesn’t seem to be thinking clearly about how to fix things.
Maybe Joshua was always the naive kind that never has a clue How to get out of a challenging situation. Now that Joshua needs help, the decisions he’s making with his career are uncertain.
Froch wants Joshua to find his old style
“I think Anthony Joshua needs to find his explosive style again and the ruthless instinct he showed in that win over Wladimir Klitschko,” Carl Froch told Sports sky on how Joshua was able to regain #1 in the heavyweight division.
Froch sounds like he’s completely delusional, forgetting the fact that Joshua was never the explosive boxer he believes he is.
Even when Joshua fought the likes of Wladimir in 2017, he looked like mentally and physically fragile as he is now, and the only reason he didn’t get knocked down in that fight was that Klitschko fought like he was pointless.
Wladimir left Joshua out of gas and injured from the sixth to the ninth round, and instead of killing people, he made a stupid decision.
If Wladimir had listened to his coach Johnathon Banks, he would have finished Joshua in seventh, and his career is now on the verge of collapse.
Froch wants Joshua to find his old style
“He had all the physical attributes needed to win that fight,” said Froch.
“He has to rekindle the fire that brought some destructive wins earlier in his career. He is big enough and strong enough to defeat anyone, especially Usyk who is much smaller by comparison. “
Froch does not mention that the opposition Joshua looked “destructive” earlier in his career was forage level fighter raised by insidious promoter Eddie Hearn.
Anyone can look good when they’re battling the believable opposition Hearn repeatedly fed Joshua earlier in his career during the “destructive” period that Froch is vilifying.
It is not clear whether Hearn has allow Joshua or if he gives him good advice that he is ignoring, believe he knows better.
Hearn isn’t the type to try and force his ideas on one of his fighters, and that’s too bad because Joshua desperately needs one right now.
Hearn is the type who will give his opinion to the boxer and if ignored, he will shrug and let the cards fall where he can.
Joshua doesn’t listen to wiser minds
31-year-old former IBF/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Joshua seems to have lost his cool after being knocked out by Andy Ruiz Jr for seven rounds in June 2019. Some believe the Mexican-American tennis player has lost his cool. forever ruined Big Brit 6’6″.
Instead of getting better since his loss to Ruiz, Joshua seems to be getting worse and worse, and now he’s about to get ready to take his coach Rob McCracken over the top in hopes of improving. his despair.
At this point, Joshua stopped listening to wiser minds who had repeatedly advised him to stay away from the talented Usyk.
Like many warriors who believe they know it all, Joshua doesn’t seem to be able to listen—So believe that he knows more than all those who give him suggestions to help him fix things.
