College knockout matches to take place after Week 13
The final week of the 2021 season has certainly messed up the College Football Playoff picks.
NS Michigan Wolverines start the day with their first win Ohio State in a decade. The factors combined with the onslaught in Michigan were just too much to handle for the Buckeyes, who fell off the ballot after losing 42-27 to their biggest opponent. The Wolverines were the unanimous choice in this week’s playoffs ahead of the Big Ten title game against Iowa.
It looks like Alabama would be the second team to drop out of the playoffs when the timing is later in the Iron Bowl. The Crimson Tide hit the ground for 97 yards and scored, however, with just 24 seconds left to force overtime and stun an electric Jordan-Hare Stadium. After the trade hit the ground and scored, Alabama finally outlasted Auburn during Wednesday overtime. Despite the close call, Tide still gained seven votes.
And only if Oklahoma State It looks like its playoff hopes have been dashed, the Bedlam farce has really begun. The Cowboys recovered from a 33-24 deficit in the fourth quarter by scoring the last 13 points of the game against Oklahoma to win, 37-33 and advance to the Big 12 title game.
For Georgia and Cincinnati, both teams comfortably hit the 12-0 mark this week. Both teams are unanimous picks again but there will be tough title matches next week. The Bulldogs are in the playoffs win or lose, but the Bearcats will need an 11-1 win Houston team will continue to participate in College Football Qualifier negotiations.
