Cordmaker, Hello Beautiful Vie for MATCH Overall title
The overall title of the 2021 Atlantic Hybrid Championship Series will be based on the performance of a pair of crossbreed athletes from Maryland on December 26 at Laurel Park, will hold a final round of four shares divided by $100,000.

Hello Beautiful wins Maryland Million Distaff Stakes at Laurel Park
Hello Beautiful, a 4 year old child Golden Lady coached by Brittany Russell, also has two series victories, one at Pimlico racetrack and another at Laurel, where she won nine races in her career. Hello Beautiful will receive five bonus points for her fourth series starting in the six-feathered Willa On the Move Stakes in the Filly and Mare Sprint-Dirt division. MATCH Series participants in each bet will collect 10 points for a win, seven points for the second, five points for the third, three points for the fourth, two points for the fifth and one point for the third. six to the last. Bonus points are awarded as follows: five points for a fourth start in the same division, two points for a fifth and three points for a sixth start. MATCH Series division bonuses are awarded to owners and trainers of the top horses by the following points: $20,000 / $10,000 for first place, $15,000 / $7,500 for second place and $7,500/$3,000 for third place. Additionally, the owner and trainer of the person who earns the overall score regardless of division will receive $20,000 and $10,000, respectively. A horse must start at least three times in a division to qualify for the bonus. In addition, prize money will be distributed to the Maryland crossbreed and Maryland crossbreeders with the highest total points in the series as follows—$3,000 for the Maryland breed and $3,000 for the Maryland breed.

Hello Beautiful, this year’s winner, will be riding again by Jevian Toledo. In her final start in Maryland Limited Courtesy Stake on November 26, Hello Beautiful finished fifth behind Eric Rizer Princess Kokachin , who entered Wiila On the Move — her MATCH Series debut — with a five-race win for coach John Robb.
Larry Johnson’s There’s never enough time , who is second in Courtesy and second in division standings with 22 points, has been dropped behind Courtesy, coach Mike Trombetta said. Although she won’t be competing in Willa On the Move, the Maryland mare took second place with four starts in her division in 2021.
The third position is expanding. The barn neck down’ Call On Mischief (eight points), C&B Stable’s Paisley sings (seven points), and Five Hellions Farm’s Dontletsweetfoolya (four points), each will start their third series in Willa On the Move, so only the finish line determines who gets the third place.

Equestrian pasture in the hills’ Laki , an 8-year-old Maryland dog bred Cuba gelding, coached by Damon Dilodovico, leads the table with 21 points after five starts at the tournament. He will get three bonus points on top of the finish with starting in Dave’s Friend at six feathers. Laki was the division’s champion in 2018 and 2019, the first two years of the revived MATCH Series and is coming in at third place.
WSS Racing and 4 G Racing’s Mucho came in second with 20 points but didn’t get into Dave’s Friend. However, student John Ortiz cannot be surpassed by any other horse on the leaderboard. Whereshetoldmetogo , owned by Madaket Stables, Ten Strike Racing, Michael Kisber and BTR Racing, will start his third tier in Dave’s Friend and will finish with 18 points if he wins; he currently has eight points. No other horses participating in Dave’s Friend are eligible for the bonus.

James Wolf’s Artful Splatter , a 5-year-old Maryland mare bred by Ice box and BB Horses’ Miss Leslie , a 3 year old child Payer is at the top of the standings with 13 points. Artful Splatter, coached by Kieron Magee, will start her fourth division and thus receive five bonus points, while Miss Leslie, coached by Claudio Gonzalez, will start her third series in Carousel 1/8 mile.
Miss Leslie took the win in the most recent division, Thirty-eight Go bets on November 13, while Artful Splatter finished fourth after a tough run at the top of the stretch. Angel Cruz is back on the Miss Leslie while Carol Cedeno picks up mounts on the Artful Splatter.
R. Larry Johnson and RDM Racing Stable’s Lookin Dynamic (eight points) and NK Racing and LNJ Foxwoods’ Villanelle (six points), second and third place in the Game of Go Thirty-eight, each will make their third starting prize for Trombetta and will be eligible for the prize money. They are competing for second or third place on the leaderboard.

Avenue , who comes in second with 11 points and is eligible for five bonus points; gelding like Maryland 4 years old by El Padrino guaranteed second in the ranking based on the fact that the Minn-Brook Barn’ Forewarned , third with six points and already eligible for the bonus, chose to start on December 19 at Aqueduct race track in Queens County Stakes, which he won.
The MATCH Series, the only race of its kind, this year begins May 14 at Pimlico. Schedule has 24 shares — 20 of them in Maryland and four in Colonial Downs in Virginia — worth $2.75 million. This year’s prize money totals $282,000. MATCH Series partners are currently working on a schedule for 2022.
