EastEnders actor Danny Dyer will appear in a mental health short film directed by a 17-year-old, in an effort to raise funds for charity.
Stepping Stone is written, produced, and directed by Noah Caplan, who was inspired to start the project when his sister suffered a life-threatening accident.
Work has now been wrapped up on the 30-minute film, which will focus on four characters from all walks of life who are going through different issues, such as anxiety, alcoholism and abuse. family.
The film will seek to tell people that the first step to getting help is to talk to others.
Caplan, David “Sideman” Whiently and Georgia Moncur will appear alongside Dyeing machine, with Cush Berlyn playing an advisor.
Stepping Stone is described as aiming to “break the negative stigma surrounding mental health and get the world talking about a rife issue”.
It will support mental health charities, including Calm, and be released early next year.
“The power of this thing (the mind) is a crazy old thing, so we have to take care of it,” Dyer said.
Speaking of Caplan, he added: “I’m very, very impressed. Only 17 years old. The fact that he’s gotten his ass the way he has and put it all together is pretty cool. great. I really enjoy. a pleasure.”

Caplan said: “It was an absolute honor to work on this film with Danny Dyer and this amazing team.
“This has been a passionate project I’ve been working on since my sister joined and survived a tragic accident and I see the impact this has had on me and everyone around me.
“I’m so grateful that this experience has helped me give back to the world, through the power of film.”
He added: “Mental health is something that is very close to my heart and I hope this film can be of help to others.
“As a family, mental health is always an open discussion, and I want to help bring that conversation into more households and other friendship groups.
