Darktide Xbox release delayed so PC version could be fixed
Warhammer 40K: Dark Tide released on PC late last year, a dark and fat game The remaining 4 people died Set in the distant, gritty future of Games Workshop. No problem! Has its problems, but still fine. However, those issues persist until 2023, and as such, the developers are pausing the Xbox version of the game while they work on fixing them.
In a statement released earlier today, Fatshark said that it aims to “create an engaging and stable game with a level of depth that keeps you playing for weeks, not hours,” but ” did not meet those expectations”.
As a result, they not only delayed “seasonal content” for the PC version, but also delayed the game’s release on Xbox Series X|S.
LETTER OUR PLAYERS
We take great pride in our ability at Fatshark to deliver a game that millions of people can enjoy. Here’s what we started with Warhammer 40,000: Darktide to create an engaging and stable game with a level of depth that keeps you playing for weeks, not hours.
We did not meet those expectations.
Over the next few months, our sole focus will be on addressing the feedback many of you have. In particular, we will focus on providing a complete crafting system, a more rewarding development loop, and continue to work on optimizing performance and game stability.
This also means we’ll be delaying the introduction of seasonal content and the launch of Xbox Series XIS. We will also be pausing the upcoming release of premium cosmetics. We can’t continue down this path, knowing we haven’t addressed many of the feedback issues in-game today.
Thank you for playing and providing feedback. We really appreciate it. It has and will continue to help shape the game we all love.

I don’t think the PC version is that bad! It matters for sure, but online games from smaller teams like this happen often. Then again, smaller teams often don’t have the resources to do everything at once, so if this is what they want to do with what they have this is what they will do with what they have!
