De La Hoya sided with Crawford, Trashes Haymon, blaming him Davis Vs. Ryan Stalling
Via Brian Webber: Oscar De La Hoya criticized PBC’s Al Haymon in response to Terence Crawford’s social media praise on Tuesday for his failed negotiations with Errol Spence Jr.
De La Hoya says he’s going to tell a lot of facts about who is keeping the biggest battle going.
Crawford walked away, blaming Haymon for not giving the green light to a $25 million offer for him and Spence from an outside company for them to fight.
In the end, Crawford got tired of waiting for the fight between Spence to happen. When he was offered an eight-figure deal by BLK Prime to take on David Avanesyan on December 10, he was ready to accept.
De La Hoya calls Haymon a “cancer,” says that when he had Keith Thurman, Adrien Broner, Deontay Wilder and Leo Santa Cruz as part of the Golden Boy Promotion, he had a plan to make them stars. They’re with PBC & Haymon now, they only fight once a year, if so.
Some have suggested that De La Hoya’s fondness for WBO welterweight champion Crawford (38-0.29 KOs) was a strategy to get him to sign Golden Boy.
Don’t understand. Al Hamon is Cancer here. When I promoted Broner, Spence, Leo, Deonty, Thurman etc, they were related and I had a plan to star, now they only fight 1 time per year if so. Wake up fools.

I respect @terencecrawford and expose the Al Hamon Circus. I’ve been dealing with this for years, I’ve promoted “all” of the PBC warriors and all that crap to them, they’re not responsible. I will go live soon to explain and expose the truth.

I didn’t speak before because I tried and became a pro but now I know that I am dealing with a bunch of losers and people who know nothing about the boxing business.

Damn I’m speaking my voice and standing up for the truth and the fighters

What do you mean bitter? You bastards don’t want to see fights happen? I guess you don’t know shit about boxing you normal fuck

Also not true, Ortiz withdrew from the match due to health reasons. Ryan fought and now wants the tank but Al is trudging. The truth my son

They have 0 prospects because they don’t know how to build. When Al and the others stole all the fighters I built, what did I do? I’m starting from scratch and I won’t stop anytime soon.

It’s true that Broner, Wilder, Thurman, and Santa Cruz only fight PBC once a year, and their popularity is said to have declined.
De La Hoya is not happy with PBC about how he has lost many Golden Boy warriors to that company. There was a time when Golden Boy was hugely stable, on par with Top Rank, but when PBC emerged, it was like a giant void with many of De La Hoya’s top boxers leaving his company to come in. with Haymon.
It’s unlikely that Golden Boy can become the company they were in the past unless they get a similarly charismatic, hard-working main promoter like Eddie Hearn to work hard promoting events and attract young boxers to sign them.
It’s surprising that De La Hoya still hasn’t hired someone for that role because he wasn’t cut for the position.
Some boxing fans believe that the reason De La Hoya doesn’t match his biggest stars, Ryan Garcia, Jaime Munguia and Vergil Ortiz Jr, against the opposite of quality is because if they are defeated, he will have no one to take their place. .
