For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Dr. Shahin Ghadir, a fertility specialist at the Southern California Fertility Center and owner of Fertile life audio file. My passion is to help people navigate in life and make sure they have all their future fertility needs addressed and are aware of how to fulfill their goals at that point. I would like to discuss some of the most important issues related to fertility preservation, aka egg freezing, in this blog.
I personally did IVF with my wife and resulted in beautiful 10-year-old twins. We also had two other children who appeared spontaneously. I understand what it means to be frustrated by the fertility journey and also understand how this can be more frustrating for the average person who is not a fertility specialist.
Egg freezing is a very important and hot topic in our society today. There are many benefits to solving this problem.
Dr. Ghadir on freezing your eggs in your 30s:
Egg freezing allows you to continue your social and professional career and not have to worry about running out of eggs. In general, the average woman begins to lose fertility around the age of 26 or 27. By the time a woman is 40, 90% of her eggs become abnormal.
♡ Freezing also allows you to create embryos in the future when you want to get pregnant & genetic testing to see if the embryo is genetically normal and you will know if it is a male or female embryo. If you don’t want to know your gender, we usually keep it a secret from you.
