Ed Helms teases “Twists and Turns” in Rutherford Falls Season 2
(Spoilers ahead for part one of Rutherford Falls above Peacock.)
To say the characters of Peacock Rutherford Falls ending in much different places than at the start of the show’s first season would be an understatement.
Especially Ed Helms‘Nathan Rutherford – the last of the famous town’s historic family to reside there – when he discovers that he is in fact not the real Rutherford. The news sets Nathan on a path of self-discovery, which is where fans will pick him up in season two, which premieres June 16.
“He’s still healing a lot and he’s still not healed,” Helms said in an exclusive interview with E! News. “He’s still in a kind of purgatory and he hasn’t faced some of the issues that he fears.”
Luckily, Nathan’s has his BFF Reagan Wells (Jana Schmieding) by his side to help him through it all. “I think that’s the anchor that allows him to flourish in season two,” added Helms, “while still making a lot of silly mistakes.”
