Electric Nissan Juke, Qashqai and X-Trail SUV – report

NISSAN is said to be planning to roll out all-electric versions of it Qashqai, Juke And X-Trail crossovers in Europe from 2025.

According to the report of carNissan Europe boss Guillaume Cartier hinted at these electric cars Qashqai, Juke And X-Trail models will be sold alongside the e-Power models.

All of these electric Nissan SUV variants are expected to replace current-generation models in Europe. The Juke EV will also be the first of three models sold there.

Mr. Cartier said car The move will help the company achieve its current goal of electric vehicles (EVs) accounting for more than half of all global sales by 2030.

They also say it will help build the popularity of the company’s e-Power hybrid powertrain.

“The point is we make the transition intelligently, with e-Power then BEV,” said Mr. Cartier.

“We just launched e-Power [now]. We need to take advantage of it in Qashqai.

“We’ve grown, so this is the natural thing to look at, that’s going to be the future.”

All three of these Nissan EVs are said to sit on an EV-specific version of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance’s Common Module family (CMF) called the CMF-EV.

The first EVs to use the platform include Nissan Ariya And Renault Megane E-Tech Electric.

Currently, the Nissan Qashqai and X-Trail both use the CMF-CD platform, while the smaller Juke uses the CMF-B architecture, which underpins vehicles like Renault Captur And Arkana.

It is likely that these Nissan EVs will feature battery packs that will allow ranges beyond the Ariya’s announced range figure of up to 400 km according to WLTP.

Vice President of Research and Development (R&D) of Nissan Europe David Moss said car in December last year, a new generation of lithium-ion batteries will appear within the next few years with “better energy density and efficiency and lower cost”.

The trio of Nissan EVs will arrive too soon to take advantage of the company All-solid batteryis set to go into mass production in 2028.

It is unclear if these electric versions of the Nissan Qashqai, Juke and X-Trail will be offered outside of Europe or when.

Locally, Nissan Australia recently launched Electronic X-Trail only available with all-wheel drive and five seats.

Nissan’s e-Power series hybrid system is slightly different from the concept of brands like Toyota, in that the internal combustion engine does not directly drive the wheels.

It is attached to a generator that can power the e-motor via an inverter and charge a small lithium-ion battery pack.

Nissan recently noted seven-seat and single-engine version of the X-Trail e-Power may be available if local buyers require such options.

Less Hybrid electronic Qashqai will hit showrooms in Australia later this year and will only be available with front-wheel drive. ONE all-wheel drive version not expected anywhere in the world.

Nissan revealed Juke hybrid, which doesn’t use the e-Power powertrain, in Europe early last year. Initially there was no limit for Australians, the local manager of Nissan Australia recently said it may in fact be on the card for us.
