EPFO applicants should complete the electronic nomination process as soon as possible
On December 29, 2021, the Workers’ Compensation Fund Organization (EPFO) extended the last date to complete the electronic nomination process for its applicants, allowing them to do so even after the date. December 31, 2021.
The organization has advised its applicants to complete this process as soon as possible and not to wait for the deadline to end, or they may face inconvenience in the future.
Prior to this renewal period, some subscribers experienced major problems when trying to access their electronic passbook on the EPFO website.
The problem is not being able to view their electronic passbook, this passbook has been blocked because they have not completed the electronic nomination procedure.
After logging into their EPFO account, applicants receive a pop-up message, asking them to complete the electronic nomination process to view their passbook.
Now, while extending the deadline to December 29, 2021, EPFO has also advised its applicants to complete the nomination process electronically.
In a tweet later that day, the organization said, “You can apply for nominations after December 31, 2021. But choose to apply for an electronic nomination today,” adding that the process is very quick. convenient, paperless and contactless.

One can add a nominee to one’s own EPFO account online by following the following process:
Step 1: Visit the official EPFO website and go to the “Services” menu.
Step 2: Go to “Employee” and Click on “UAN Member / Online Services”.
Step 3: Log in to your EPFO account with your UAN and password.
Step 4: In the “Manage” tab, click “Electronic Nomination”.
Step 5: On the next page, click Yes to make changes.
Step 7: Update your e-nomination details. You can add multiple nominees to your account.
Step 8: Click the “Save EPF Nomination” button and tap the “E-sign” option to verify the details via OTP.
