F1 driver Pierre Gasly dined with Michael Jordan, Lando Norris, unveils lap-themed gear ahead of Miami Grand Prix
Formula One is heading to Miami this weekend when the city hosts its first racing event for the league. The Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix takes place at the Miami International Autodrome on Sunday (3:30 p.m. ET on ABC).

Before Sunday’s race, there were plenty of laps in South Florida. The Miami Heat got off to a strong start to their Eastern Conference semifinals first Philadelphia 76ersgain a Series leading 2-0 on Wednesday.
Several F1 drivers have taken a leap into the lap world ahead of the Miami Grand Prix. Anglo-Belgian driver Lando Norris is well known for his innovative helmet designs and he has revealed a basketball themed look for the upcoming race. It has his name, signature and logo on the back.

“I saw some people play basketball once, and I thought, ‘Damn, that would make a great helmet,'” Norris said of the inspiration for the design, per Motorsportweek.
Earlier in the week, Norris tweeted about the possibility of playing basketball in his free time.

Entering the Miami Grand Prix, Norris is ranked 6th on the F1 chart.
In other places, Pierre Gasly dinner with Basketball Hall of Famer Michael Jordan before the race on Sunday. He has posted pictures of himself and the six-time NBA champion on his Instagram account. Jordan also signed a pair of sneakers for the 26-year-old racer. Gasly is 13th on the F1 standings.
Jordan has some racing experience: He co-owner of the NASCAR . group with Denny Hamlin. Their team, 23XI Racing, has Bubba Wallace and Kurt Busch as the driver in the list.
