Ford offers Fiesta ST buyers remedy for lack of features
The first examples of 2022 Ford Fiesta ST arrived in Australia for lack of their branded sound system, prompting Ford to offer customers one of three offers as a remedy.
A Ford Australia spokesperson said: “Unfortunately, the first 73 new MY22 Fiesta STs for Australia are equipped with an unbranded 6-speaker sound system instead of the 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen Play system with super speakers. bass (Branded Audio System)”.
“The issue has now been resolved and all future arrivals will have the Branded Sound System as expected.”
Of the 73 units, 44 have been delivered to a contracted buyer. As a result, Ford Australia is contacting these buyers to provide them with a wide selection.
“They can cancel the contract and get their deposit refunded or cancel the contract and wait for a Fiesta ST with Branded Sound System in the next few months or if they want to continue with the purchase we will provide give them $500 the spokesman said.
Fiesta STs are now available at dealers.
Ford said it had identified the problem and began contacting customers prior to commencing deliveries.

However, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are no longer available locally.
The 1.5 liter turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine now has 30Nm more torque than before for a total of 320Nmalthough the peak power is still at 147kW.

The upgraded Fiesta ST will be joined no earlier than August by an update ST focus.
Ford delayed the Focus ST, which was previously slated to reach customers in the second quarter of this year, due to supply chain problems as a result of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
The updated mini hatch was supposed to receive a 13.2-inch touchscreen display running Ford’s Sync4 operating system, but supply problems led to Ford having to fit in a smaller 8.0-inch display. running Sync3 in Europe.
Ford Australia, however, has opted to wait for the new system, even though that means delays.
