French-provided VAB troop carriers just spotted in Ukraine

VAB armored personnel carriers are being provided by France to Ukraine to support Ukrainian defense forces in the fight against Russia.

VAB is available in about 30 different versions to meet specific needs and adapt to new technology. It is still widely used by the French military and is one of the country’s “iconic” vehicles. The base model is the 4×4 VAB VTT armored personnel carrier, which carries an infantry squadron of 8-10 fully equipped soldiers in a relatively spacious armored hull. Armor protects the crew and disembark from 7.62 mm bullets, shrapnel and anti-personnel mines. This armored personnel carrier can carry a payload of 2,000 kg instead of soldiers.
