Musical organization downtownowned B2B distributor FUGA has entered into a new partnership with US electronic label group Insomniac Music Group (IMG), which owns several labels in the electronic music space.
Amsterdam-based FUGA will provide distribution, marketing and labeling services for a number of IMG’s preferred labels such as HARD Recs, Bassrush Records, Factory 93 Records, Lost In Dreams Records and artist-led labels operating as Shiba San’s Basement Leak, Dr. JSTJR Home Call and Group Chat.
The partnership with FUGA gives IMG and its brands access to more than 260 DSPs worldwide, the companies said in a joint statement on Wednesday (November 23).

We look forward to working with the label team across our entire distribution, marketing and label offerings, and further expanding Insomniac’s audience globally,” said Sarah Landy, SVP of FUGA Americas, said.
IMG will also utilize FUGA’s synchronization and audience engagement services and its extensive trends and analytics platform.
In addition, IMG partners with Downtown Neighboring Rights, another unit of Downtown Music Holdings led by Pieter van Rijn. Downtown Neighboring Rights’ lineup includes Justin Bieber, Ella Fitzgerald, Sub Pop Records, and Young T & Bugsy.

FUGA was acquired by Downtown Music Holdings in 2020, and its marketing team has expanded since then, currently operating across 17 countries.

Back in August, FUGA co-operate with Berlin-based artist management and label services company, Odyssey Music Network, and with Vienna-based management and record label Phat Penguin.
FUGA has opened new offices across Korea, Brazil, Sweden and Germany, expanding its staff by 30% from a year earlier.
