Gallagher A New Community Partner for The Jockey Club
The Jockey Club has signed a three-year partnership with global risk management and insurance brokerage company Gallagher in an effort to further appeal to a younger and more diverse audience, the two organizations announced on Sunday. Japan.
The Jockey and Gallagher Club will focus on creating “experience days” across many of the 15 Jockey Club races across the country on non-race days in an effort to introduce more younger people in terms of career possibilities in the industry.
Gallagher is one of the world’s largest insurance brokerage, risk management and HR consulting firms with more than 43,000 employees and services in more than 130 countries. The Jockey Club is the largest horse racing organization in the UK, operating 15 of the UK’s most famous racecourses. With Royal Charter, all profits it earns are reinvested back into the sport.
“Riding is a great sport and we want to encourage more young people who traditionally would not see this as a career option to consider getting into horse racing and thoroughbreds. There is a wide variety of roles available, aside from the jockeys we see on racecourses, all of which offer great future growth. We hope our day of experiences will open young people’s eyes to the opportunities,” said Sophie Chambers, Gallagher’s CEO blood clinic.
