Germany to send more Gepard air-defense tanks to Ukraine
Germany will send more military equipment and supplies to Ukraine, including seven more Gepard self-propelled air defense systems.
The German government also published a detailed list of military assistance it sent to Kiev and stated that it had donated 30 Gepard tanks, including about 6,000 rounds of anti-aircraft ammunition.
According to some reports, such as that from Bild, the Gepard anti-aircraft tank is no longer in the warehouse of the German armed forces, but the manufacturer still keeps some in its inventory.

This vehicle is a self-propelled air defense system built by Krauss-Maffei Wegmann. It is designed to counter modern fighters, attack helicopters, remote-controlled missiles and rockets. It can also reliably fight drones. Ballistic warheads are indestructible by electronic defenses and the shrapnel clouds they create reliably destroy their targets.
KMW has mass-produced 570 systems of this type as a general contractor and is also the main contractor providing technical and logistical support for the system since it was put into use. Gepards were supplied to Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Romania.
