The late legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao, commonly known as ANR, is one of the best actors of Telugu cinema. ANR began his career in 1941 and made his mark on the silver screen with critically acclaimed performances in various genre films. He is best known for his classic roles in ‘Keelu Gurram’ (1949), ‘Devadasu’ (1953), ‘Tenali Ramakrishna’ (1956), ‘Mayabazar’ (1957), ‘Gundamma Katha’ (1962), and his name age a few. The ANR usually serves as the second conduction for the Sr NTR. ANR has acted in over 255 films in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. Most of his films have been commercially and critically successful.
