The project was officially kicked off at a glitter event held at Sunder Nursery in the presence of Union Minister of Culture and Tourism G Kishan Reddy and senior officials from the Ministry of Culture and Google.
As part of the nationwide celebration, Google also announced their partnership with the Ministry of Culture, which focuses “on accessing information-rich online content that showcases the contributions of Indians and the development development since 1947 to support the Government’s year-long ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’,” the search giant said in a statement.
It also announced that the popular Doodle4Google contest for 2022, with the theme ‘In the next 25 years, my India will…’, is now open to students in grades 1-10.
