Gritty claims Philadelphia the best sports city
It’s a great time to be a fan of Philadelphia sports. City teams just keep winning.
Let’s start with Philadelphia Phillies. They are three wins since reaching the World Series for the first time since 2009. Philadelphia won Game 1 of the NLCS Tuesday, beat the San Diego Padres 2-0, and witness a run home monstrous are from Kyle Schwarber it’s still flying.
The Phillies were one of the MLB’s biggest surprises after the season. They made it to the knockout stage then quickly passed St. Louis Cardinals and then beat the defending champion Atlanta Braves. Philadelphia has lost a game after this season and is far ahead of the opponent by 3.5 wins.
Victory continues in football. After defeating the opponent Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, Philadelphia Eagles is the only undefeated team left in the NFL. Midfielder Jalen Hurts Eighth in the league in pass percentage and, according to ESPN Stats and Information research, he is the fourth-youngest quarterback to score 6-0. The Eagles are also the fifth team in the past 35 seasons to not score in the second half of their first six games. Two of the previous five teams to do so won the Super Bowl.
And, in hockey, Philadelphia Flyers started the season with a score of 3-0. Most recently they defeated the Eastern Conference champion Tampa Bay Lightning. Gritty, the Flyers’ mascot, crowned the city as the best city in sports.

Not all wins are Philadelphia 76ers. They lost Boston Celtics on Tuesday in the first game of the season. On the bright side, James Harden looked super cozy in his maternity garb, and the city’s MLS team – the Philadelphia Union – is at the top of the league standings.
