GWM Haval Jolion Hybrid confirmed to Australia, here in September
GWM Haval is adding a second hybrid SUV to its range in Australia.
The Jolion Hybrid will lower prices in Australia in September 2022 with a single high-spec assortment, priced at $40,990 to drive. That’s $7000 for the top-of-the-line Jolion Ultra with gasoline power.
Despite the terrible price increase, it is $5000 cheaper than the larger price H6 Ultra Hybridand located along a base Toyota RAV4 hybrid ($36,900 before on-road) or a top spec Toyota C-HR hybrid ($37,165 before traffic) based on price.
It also cuts the base Kia Niro Hybrid WILL BE ($44,380 before departure) and Honda HR-V e: HEV ERROR ($47,000 driving).
Power in the Jolion Hybrid comes from a 1.5-litre petrol engine, combined with what Haval calls a Dedicated Hybrid Powertrain (DHT) consisting of an electric motor and gearbox.
Maximum combined power is 139kW and maximum torque is 375Nm.
It’s front-wheel drive and uses 5.0 liters per 100km on the combined cycle. The Toyota RAV4 hybrid 2WD uses 4.7L/100km on the combined cycle, while the Niro uses the announced 4.0L/100km.
The Jolion Hybrid is only offered in the highest-end Ultra guise. It has a unique grille, unique LED headlights and fog lights, a new front bumper, a new rear spoiler and 18-inch alloy wheels.
