Before doing this, I worked at Inverse as a science and technology newsletter writer and wrote a column about women and video games for Destructoid. I also freelanced everywhere for two years, cataloging weird articles on the internet, including one about robot relationship abuse because the Futurism, play the weird TikTok game because the The Vergeand Medieval feminism because the Bitch.

I often find it frustrating when parts of the video game service appear to favor a particular type of player — experienced, white, male, straight — when me and the so-called non-traditional gamers.
