Ah, HIIII! Oh, it’s great to be here and to be able to share with you my top 10 favorite skin care products! Before I do, allow me to introduce myself (so it doesn’t feel like a complete stranger is talking to you.)
My name is Nikki but you may know me as “The Holy Glosspel.“Nice name – I know. I’m a 22 year old skin care/beauty enthusiast who can talk all day, every day about skin care. Since I overuse Conventional peeling solution (the red makes you feel like you have blood all over your face), I was fascinated by how your skin can react and how to properly listen to yourself.
My page started with me just taking product photos while secretly wishing to be on the PR list of every skincare brand I see on my feed. After a while, I noticed a big difference in the beauty industry as a whole. While I love to post and highlight my routines, I also figure out how to use my platform to highlight those differences (in makeup or skincare).
Since then, while I also work to promote holistic beauty, I also focus on my personal skincare journey and strive to provide others with tips/tricks based on my experience. I. Who knew that I might end up helping others after I had foolishly abused a product?
So since exfoliating my skin, I’ve been learning to research and find out which products work for me and which don’t. So here it is…
Holy Glosspel’s 10 favorite skincare products:
Josie Maran’s Beta Retinoid Pink Algae Serum
I like this serum because my skin is sensitive but needs to target its texture. This serum is great for renewing skin while keeping it from drying out. I would use this daily in the afternoon along with a hydrating serum to form the perfect duo for plump/toned skin.
Skinny Confidential’s RAZOR HOT SHAVE
I never really thought about shaving my face but when I started doing it, I DON’T KNOW WHY I WAIT SO LONG! Usually people recommend single-blade razors and this one from TSC is my all-time favorite. The blade itself is easy to grip and it provides such a close shave without cutting me.
Peach & Lily’s Glass Skin Serum
If you follow me on Instagram or TikTok, you know my BIGGEST advice to everyone is to maintain a strong moisture barrier. Moisturizing ingredients like hyaluronic acid & niacinamide are perfect for your skin barrier and this serum has it all. It’s very moisturizing, leaves my skin smooth, and pairs well with retinol/retinoids.
Dark spots will be a barrier to my survival but Topicals’ Faded Serum gives me hope! I absolutely love this product on my post-acne redness and find myself using it regularly. The product is suitable for all skin types and should only be used 1-3 times a week. The ingredient list is an all-star group for skin lightening that includes things like Tranexamic Acid, Kojic Acid & Licorice Root Extract. Apply this before moisturizing and stay fit!
Farmacy AHA Resurfacing Night Serum
This is one of my favorite AHA serums for targeting skin texture. It provides a soothing sensation and leaves my skin looking smooth the next day. I like to use this product in the afternoon on days when I don’t use my retinol/retinoid.
Ah, another moisturizing advantage. This serum smells great and has a slightly “fragrant” texture but provides a lot of hydration to my skin. I love using this product in my routine when my skin is extremely dry or dull and it’s perfect to incorporate stronger formulas into your routine.
Skinny Confidential’s HOT MESS ICE ROLLER
Do you already own an ice roller?!? This is by far the best part of my morning routine as it helps clear my face and wake me up all day. I’ll put on a serum, some eye patches, and start rolling before I put on my moisturizer. Perfect morning pick me up (along with my coffee).
I am a huge fan of rosehip seed oil and this one from The Ordinary is very pocket friendly. Rosehip seed oil is an excellent moisturizer that also helps reduce inflammation and regenerate the skin. This is my favorite to use after my moisturizer at night and/or when I use it gua sha.
This is a great hydrating toner MUST for my dry skin and this is the one I’ve been looking to regularly. It includes aloe vera and hyaluronic acid for the perfect blend of refreshment. I would use this product in the morning and afternoon and apply my hydrating serums while the toner is still damp on my skin.
Youth come to People’s SuperClay Purify + Clear Mask
This deep cleansing clay mask is great for when my skin is congested. It also includes niacinamide & kombucha to help even skin tone without affecting the skin barrier. When I need to reset to good skin or have a weekend night out, this is my favorite mask. MUST HAVE!
