Hyundai Bluelink: Five years of free app connectivity to launch in 2023 Palisade

Hyundai Australia Buyers will soon be able to remotely check the temperature, lock or unlock, and view their vehicle’s location using a smartphone app.

Bluelink app will launch on 2023 Palisade for Australia, and will “gradually” roll out the Hyundai range from there.

A 5-year service subscription will be included with new Hyundai purchases.

The app allows users to find where they’ve parked their car or find a destination on their phone and send it to the vehicle before they’re behind the wheel. Last-mile navigation allows owners to continue following directions to their destination after they exit the vehicle.

The app, available for Android and Apple devices, allows owners to switch to ‘valet mode’ or activate heated seats from the comfort of their couch. Cars with surround view screens can even send and save footage directly through the app.

In electric models, the app allows owners to schedule charging for their vehicle and activate the climate control system.

As is common in rivals, the system will automatically call emergency services in the event of an accident if the airbag fires.

Hyundai is not alone in providing smartphone connectivity for its new lineup of vehicles. Ford Australia offers the same function on its scopeand Toyota continued expand reach its equivalent.

Hyundai has previously offered similar functionality on the Kona EV.
