The pandemic has affected everyone’s lives. What percentage has it changed for you?

The pandemic has changed all of our lives. I hope things get better and I’m sure they will. I am happy and grateful to be back at work and spending time with the people I love. I’m back to cooking, that’s what I love. I’m also happy to be able to take time for myself and realize many things about myself, which I think is very essential for my generation today.

How do you start your day these days?

On most days, I’m filming. So it started with me rushing home and then leaving to go shoot. I absolutely love it, and wouldn’t do it any other way.

You have flawless skin – what are some things you do to take care of it? Do you follow skin care fads or stick to ghar-ke-nuskhe?

I don’t really believe in following any skincare fad, or fads in general. I think your skin is a very personal thing, and you should do what you believe in. I always stick to specific skin care routines because I have sensitive skin. Simple things will help, like drinking healthy juices and eating foods that keep you fresh and hydrated, or even getting a good night’s sleep. I follow a simple routine of cleansing, toning and moisturizing, and washes my face in the morning with warm and sometimes cold water.

Before the shoot, I usually soak my face in ice cold water or apply ice to my face because it closes the pores and makes the skin look plump. A new addition to my skincare routine is the Olay Power Duo which includes a regenerating micro-sculpting cream with hyaluronic acid that instantly hydrates and softens my skin and protects it from damage, and Olay Luminous comes with 99% pure niacinamide that works perfectly on the skin.

When it comes ghar-ke-nuskhe, I use a homemade face pack derived from the neem tree or a combination of yogurt, besan, honey, and lemon. I mix it and apply it once a week. It relaxes, cools my skin and gives it a fresh look.

A skincare myth you want to debunk…

When I was younger, I used to think that when you get a pimple, it really goes away, which is completely wrong. While there are ways to reduce swelling and pain, it’s best to leave it as it is and do its natural course.

Who do you go to for beauty advice?

The person who comes for beauty advice is probably my mother. She is a powerful influence in my life. I really admire the way she has taken on her entire life on her own personally, professionally and in every other respect.

Five makeup/beauty products you always carry in your pocket…

I don’t like using too many products. My bag is incomplete without a good lip balm as it helps give a fresh look, especially after packing late night snacks and a tiring day of photography. A few other essentials in my bag are hand sanitizer, a pack of dried fruit and a small bottle of water.

What is your fitness mantra?

It’s important to stick to what you believe in when it comes to fitness. What may work for me, may not work for you and vice versa. The key is to figure out your rhythm with fitness and see what works for your body type. It could be spinning, or hitting the gym, or swimming. It’s important to realize what’s right for you and stick to it.

If we took a look at your wardrobe, what would we see that best describes your personal style and fashion?

You will find lots of comfortable, easy and chic maxi dresses and accessories to go with it. Also, I love high-waisted jeans and pants. I also love crop tops. I always wear them because they make me feel good about myself.
