Indian bowlers were once again in too much of a hurry as New Zealand’s batting collapsed on Day 4 of the second test with Virat Kohli’s team registers 372 runs to win the Test Two Match series 1-0. After defeating New Zealand with a score of 62 in the first half, India overcame the visitors with 167th place in the second half to take a clear victory in Mumbai. India finished the match twice as fast on Day 4 with the New Zealanders losing their last five encounters in just 27 runs. This is India’s first Test win under new coach Rahul Dravid.
New Zealand just saved the First Test with debutant Rachin Ravindra displaying tenacious batting, however, India was not denied this time with Ravichandran Ashwin and Jayant Yadav each taking four hits in the second inning.
The 372 runs win was India’s biggest win in the Cricket Test in terms of runs, better than the previous 337 run against South Africa in 2015.
