Gearing up for their upcoming challenge, Team India landed in South Africa on Thursday with the likes of Virat Kohli, Rahul Dravid wearing protective masks and shields. India’s tour of South Africa is scheduled to kick off December 26, starting with a 3-match Test series and then a 3-match ODI series. BCCI decided to give fans updates on the team’s whereabouts and posted photos from the airport on Twitter. The post was captioned “Touchdown South Africa”. Here are the pictures:

In addition to Test captain Kohli and head coach Dravid, the photos also include smashers like Cheteshwar Pujara, Shreyas Iyer and average Shardul Thakur.
The post was well received by fans with many wishes to the team for the best of luck in the upcoming Test.
New white football captain Rohit Sharma has been ruled out of the Tests series due to a left hamstring injury he sustained during a training session. He was replaced by Priyank Panchal of Gujarat.

Earlier, it was also reported that Kohli would miss the ODI series but the Test captain, in a press conference on Wednesday, denied those who said he was always available for selection.
Recently, the national team has undergone major changes as Ravi Shastri’s tenure as head coach is coming to an end after this year’s T20 World Cup. Shastri was replaced by Dravid. Meanwhile, BCCI has also replaced Kohli with Rohit as Team India’s full-time white ball captain.
