Indian Oil Gives Government Rs 2,424 Crore as Dividend
On Thursday, state-owned oil marketing company Petroleum of India paid Rs 2,424 crore as a dividend to the government.
Tuhin Kanta Pandey, secretary of the division of investment and public asset management (DIPAM), announced this through his official Twitter handle.

So far in the current fiscal, the government has received Rs 20,222 crore in dividends from a number of state-owned entities.
The Petroleum Corporation of India is the largest oil retailer in the country and accounts for nearly 50% of the market share of petroleum products in the country. It recorded sales of 81.027 million tons during 2020-21.
Last month, the government received a final dividend of Rs 6,665 crore from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited Privatization (BPCL) for 2020-21.
