Indian Railways has invited bids for the redevelopment of an existing rail housing complex and commercial and residential space development at Barrack Colony, New Jalpaiguri in West Bengal. The Railway Land Development Authority (RLDA) said in a statement today that the tender has a starting price of Rs 26.7 crore for a 16,222 square meter area to be leased for 99 years.
An online pre-bid meeting was held with the participation of national and local developers. The last date for submission of electronic bids is January 28, 2022, the Ministry of Railways’ special purpose vehicle (SPV) said.
The proposed site has a square shape and is well connected to the rail and road networks. The site is located in a prime location, surrounded by prominent landmarks such as Government Girls High School in the West, Railway offices in the East and connected to the main road of the city. town on the northern periphery.
