Jeremy Strong Slams That New Yorkers Profile Is “Traitor”
Strong Jeremy does not hold back his true thoughts about that File.
The Heir the star finally settled a 2021 New Yorkers The interview went viral after his friends and Hollywood colleagues criticized the way he was portrayed.
“What do I say about it?” Strong say Vanity Fair in an interview published September 2. “It’s something that, to me, feels like a pretty profound betrayal of trust.”
The December article describes Strong’s supposedly intense acting method with co-stars Brian Cox said, “I’m just worried about what he’s doing to himself. I’m worried about the crises he has to go through to prepare.”
Now, says Strong, the profile “can ultimately say more about the person who wrote it and their point of view, which is a valid point of view, than it says about who I am and who I am.”
As for the widespread response to the article? “The noise and the fog afterwards: I think what I’m ultimately interested in is trying to feel as free as possible as an actor,” notes the actor behind Kendall Roy. “Part of that is trying to isolate yourself from all that, and what people might say about you or think about you. You have to free yourself from that.”
