Joseph Parker wants Whyte, Joshua or Joyce next rematch after Massey
Via Barry Holbrook: Joseph Parker says he wants chance to avenge losses to Dillian Whyte, Anthony Joshua & Joe Joyce after he tackles his next opponent Jack Massey (20-1, 11 KOs), on January 21 at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England.
Former WBO Heavyweight Champion Parker (30-3, 21 KOs) put on a brave attempt against undefeated Joyce (15-0, 14 KOs) last September, trying as hard as he could until was knocked down in the eleventh round under a heavy blow of punches from ‘The Juggernaut.’
In 2018, Parker lost to Joshua & Whyte in head-to-head bouts in matches where he couldn’t actively fight. Those battles brought Parker the fame of lack of killer instinct because he fought timidly and didn’t step on the gas to show that he wanted to win.
However, Whyte (29-3, 19 KO) had a hard time accepting the offer to fight Parker, because he in a holding patternis waiting for a call from Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn to face Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) in the summer in a stadium match.
It’s too much money for Whyte, 34, to want to risk taking on a desperate Parker, who still has a lot of potential at 30 and possesses great strength.
The way Whyte performed against little-known opponent Jermaine Franklin (21-1, 14 KOs) last November, he won’t risk his big payday in a rematch with Anthony Joshua by going up against him. Parker.
“I would love to fight Dillian Whyte again. If I can get a good win against Jack, it could be the next one,” Joseph Parker said Sports sky about who he wants next after his January 21 game against Jack Massey.
“He has to fight someone. i know him [Anthony Joshua] looking for a coach or working with a few coaches in the US but if AJ wants to fightLet me finish Jack.
Parker needs to let go of hopes of a rematch with Whyte, Joyce or Joshua, but that’s not going to happen. They have nothing to gain by fighting him, and the money won’t be worth the risk.
“If you are looking for a fight, come to me. Dillian Whyte, if you’re looking for a fight, I’ll be ready after I take care of Jack. Even Joe Joyce, if you want another fight and nobody wants to fight you, let’s go again,” Parker said.
