The country’s current heartthrob fan, Kartik Aaryan is ready to captivate anyone with his dashing looks. The actor has been climbing uphill since his ‘Pyaar ka Punchnama’ days and recently starred in another blockbuster ‘Dhamaka’ which has garnered rave reviews since its release. But all the success and fame does not prevent Kartik from enjoying the simple things in life. Self-identified as a foodie, Kartik is often seen at roadside stalls or enjoying a scrumptious plate of his favorite food. In a most recent photo posted by the actor on social media, he can be seen enjoying another delicious dish for his Sunday lunch. But this time, it’s not the local cuisine; in fact, what the actor is busy with is none other than Thakali thaali (Nepalese).
A thaali thakali usually consists of Nepali-style home-cooked food that is quite similar to the Indian thaali. It comes with Dal, Bhaat (rice), Tarkaari (Sabji), Khasi ko maasu (lamb curry) along with some other additions like papad, seasonal vegetables, saag; always topped with the doll’s ghee. On Kartik’s Nepali plate we can see a bowl of green mustard, called ‘Raiyo ko saag’ in Nepali. Next to it is ‘Kaalo daal’, which is black dal, made with a special brewing of ‘jimbu’, a Himalayan herb commonly used to make traditional dal. Along with it, there is a bowl of paneer curry, rice and some fried food on the side called ‘Phulaura’ in Nepali. Nepali cuisine is simple and full of flavor, and Kartik seems to have enjoyed it to the fullest on his cheat day.
In terms of work, Kartik Aaryan’s most recent release has received rave reviews from fans and followers. Next, he will be seen in the comedy-horror ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, the sequel to the 2007 super hit ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’. Kartik will also appear in ‘Freddy’ with Alaya F and in ‘Shehzada’ with Kriti Sanon.
