Kerman “Revolver” Lejarraga takes down Jack Flatley in Spain on Friday! ⋆ 24 hour boxing news

Via Ken Hissner: At Bilbao Arena, Bilbato, Pais Vasco, Spain, Friday against DAZN, Eddie Hearn (In-Fight Boxing) in the EBU Main Event European Super Welterweight Champion Kerman “Revolver” Lejarraga of Europe Spain defended its title defeating Jack Flatley of Great Britain in the ninth round. In the co-occurring event, Spanish super-middleweight champion Damian “Guinea” Biacho stopped Guillermo Rivero after seven rounds and four knockouts.

In the main event European EBU Super Welterweight Champion Kerman “Revolver” Lejarraga, 34-2 (26), #154, of Bilbao, Pais Vasco, Spain, defended his title by knocking out Jack “Quiet Storm” Flatley, 17-2 -1 (4), #154, of Bolton, Lancashire, UK, at 0:30 of the ninth inning of the 12th.

In the first round with 20 seconds remaining, a left stab from Lejarraga to the chin caused Flatley’s legs to come out and was eventually knocked down by 8 counts. From Monday to Thursday, it’s all Lejarraga. At the end of the fifth inning, Flatley had an abrasion under his right eye with a swelling underneath.

Halfway through the seventh half, a right kick from Lejarraga to the chin sent Flatley’s knee dislocating. In the final seconds, a left hook from Lejarraga to the chin stunned Flatley. At the end of the round, both fighters had swelling under their right eye. In the eighth round, Flatley landed his best punch one right into Legjarraga’s chin. With one minute left of the round, a right punch from Lejarraga to the chin sent Flatley to his knees with a score of 8.

In the ninth inning, a rough cross from Lejarraga’s right side to the chin sent Flatley lying on his back, his head banging out of the frame as the referee waved his hand. Legjarraga kissed the cloth at the time. After a few minutes, Flatley got up and sat on the stool. It took more than five minutes to get her legs back.

In a co-match with Spanish Super-Midweight champion Damian “Guinea” Biacho, 12-0 (3), #167 ¼, of Madrid, Spain, stopped Guillermo Rivero, 8-1- 1 (1), #168, of Guecho, Pais Vasco, Spain, after seven rounds in a title defense of a number 10.

In the third inning, a right and a left from Biacho on the chin knocked Rivero down with an 8 count. Rivero was the aggressor up to that point. He tried to fight well enough to get through the ring. In the fourth round, Biacho switched to an amphibious assault to the south before returning to the mainstream.

In the sixth round, Biacho knocked Rivero down with a gauntlet punch to the chin for a count of 8. Then in the round, a chin punch knocked Rivero out again with an 8 count. In the final minute of the seventh inning, a cut on the left, followed by a left hook from Biacho to the chin knocked Rivero out. He stood up and tried to go back until the bell rang. At the end of the half, Rivero decided to pause the game.

Former 2012 ultralightweight athlete Jonathan “Maravilla” Alonso, 21-1 (7), #142 ¾, of DR and Gijon, Principado de Asturias, Spain, beat Mohamed “Marco” El Marcouchi, 28 -3 (11), #142 ½, of Belgium, and Miami Beach, FL, over 8 innings.

In the first four rounds, Alonso knocked out El Maroushi, who held his part. In the fifth round at half-way marked a solid forehand that injured El Marcouchi, who was forced to hold out. The referee warned him for hitting the back of the head in the first round.

In the sixth inning, despite the win Alonso was cautioned for a low strike in the final seconds. In the 1/8 and final round, Alonso continued to close.

All scores are 80-72.

Middleweight Jhon Jader Obregon, 9-0 (4), 161, of Vitoria, Pais Vasco, Spain, beat Southpaw Gerome “Bread Maker” Warburton, 8-1-1 (1), #161 ¼, of Colwyn Bay, Wales , United Kingdom, through 6 rounds. Scores are 59-56, 59-55 and 59-54.

Bantamweight champion Samuel Carmona, 6-0 (4), #115 ½, of Las Palmas, Islas Canarias, Spain, stopped Luis “Callado” Fernando Villa Padilla, 13-3-2 (2), #114. of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, in the first round at 1:30 of the first round of an 8.

In the first transition, Carmona went right behind Padilla. Nearly half the round, a left hook on the body injured Padilla. Carmona continued to attack with half a dozen unreturned punches before the referee stepped in and ordered a stop.

In the first round, Hatton knocked out Csereklye with a header on the head for a count of 8. With just over a minute left in the round, Hatton landed on his left body knocking out Csereklye again for 8count.

In the second inning, Hatton positioned him to walk away after Csereklye landed mainly his left body blows forcing Csereklye to constantly hold. Halfway through, Hatton knocked out nearly a dozen unanswered punches. At the last minute, a shot to the body from Hatton’s left wing knocked Csereklye to his knee, where he counted 8 and stood up shaking his head, forcing the referee to stop play. Hatton is the son of former 2nd world champion Ricky “Hit Man” Hatton.
