Show foreign racers a clean pair of heels on Sunday, Gestut Fahrhof’s TDN Rising Star Habana (Ger) (King {GB}–Hargeisa, by Sightstown) did it all to conquer the German G2 Wempe 103 1000 Guineas at Dusseldorf. Frustrated by her track preparation and distance as last month of the four in Henkel-Stutenpreis listed last month, G3 winner Zukunfts-Rennen, who took to the field in the G1 Prix Marcel Marcel Boussac has dominated here under an inspirational ride from Eduardo Pedroza. Godolphin’s 6-4 favorites clearly sent Dream of Love (Ire) (Shamardal) in a straight line, Andreas Wohler’s 4-1 shot hit the line three yards away Glider Stenton (Ire) (Dandy Man {Ire}), with a length of 2 1/4 returns to Dream Of Love in third place. Pedroza said: “I had a good feeling as soon as I walked out of the stall, we planned to change tactics and let her do her own race and she delivered really well. “She was very comfortable in the race and had good acceleration. We’ve always appreciated her and that’s why we included Paris last year, but [soft] going is completely against her there.
